This month, Zerillo's Italian restaurant closed after 14 years, but Westchase residents and Zerillo's loyal customers won't have to wait long for another Italian restaurant to fill the void.

In April, Nabruzzi Trattoria is moving into the space formerly occupied by Zerillo's.

Located in Lutz since 2014, the new Westchase location will be Nabruzzi's second restaurant.

"We've always thought about expanding eventually," said owner Massimo Sabetti.

At the new location, Sabetti's sister, Gabriella Rossi, will serve as his partner.

She owns a successful restaurant in Pasco County.

"We're very much a family restaurant," said Sabetti, whose family moved to America from Italy in 1975.

Nabruzzi Trattoria's menu will be similar to the Lutz location, which includes a variety of authentic and traditional Italian dishes made with pasta, chicken, veal, pork, and seafood. Soups, salads, pizzas, and desserts are also on the menu.

Sabetti points out that the pasta is homemade, and they always use fresh ingredients.

When Nabruzzi Trattoria opens in April, the space will have undergone a complete remodel. Sabetti said they are installing new floors and kitchen equipment, and updating the dining area.

Nabruzzi Trattoria is at 6062 Van Dyke Road in Lutz. The new restaurant will be at 11653 Countryway Blvd. The Westchase location will open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday. It will be closed on Mondays.
